The big tree is removed.
Tuesday morning, the tree trimmers came and quickly removed this big old tree from my back yard.
It was full of rot and needed to be removed.
In the winter it was nice because it didn't have any leaves.
In the summer, though, it grows thick and spreads over the whole yard.
The shade is nice, but it kills the grass and makes a mess.
Now there is nothing left but a big stump!
(We could have paid to have the stump removed, but that would have been extra)
Here is the area under the tree before:
Here is the same area, after:
I also had them thin out this shaggy pine tree.
(The neighbor had already removed the back side of the tree on his side of the yard.)

Now I'm glad we didn't remove it, because it's a source of shade.
I don't usually go outside until late afternoon, but it is really sunny in the backyard now.
I was very happy with their work
Also they gave us a better price than the other company we used a few years ago.
The tree removal created a whole new area that needs straightening out.
More rocks to be dug out and replaced.

Nice work Julia. I bet they are glad you are spreading the word about their good, reasonable work done. Now you have a new yard. Isn't it funny how fixing on thing almost always opens up another job for fixing?
