No name
The past few weeks have been hectic with the new puppy, but things are settling down.
Sammy accepted the puppy into the family much faster than I expected.
It was pretty hard to keep them separated.
Sammy was dubious for a long while. I did not like the way he stared and stared.
Sam is not friendly with other dogs.
I don't take him anywhere off leash, because he always acts this way.
The puppy likes to jump and lick Sam in the face, which is rude.
Sam snapped at the puppy once or twice for getting in his face, and made him cry.
I guess Sam was satisfied and right away he decided the puppy was all right.
Next Sam tried to ignore the puppy but the puppy is super playful and determined to be friends.
They can now be in the same room, or outside together although with supervision.
Sam has relaxed quite a bit.
Also, I can throw a toy for Sammy to fetch, and he doesn't get mad at the puppy.
Sam often drops the toy for the puppy, and tries to avoid any confrontation.

(He did draw the line when the puppy tried to take food right out of his mouth, and I let him make that correction)
Very much a surprise from the dog who can't be trusted at the dog park.
I'm grateful for Sammy's help in keeping the puppy in line. He is quite a handful.
We went to the vet this week for a second set of shots. When he went in to see the vet, the puppy was super hyper.
The vet said he peed everywhere and they couldn't get him to sit still to weigh him (they estimate he weighs 12 lbs)
He referred to the puppy as a "little monster" and said "good luck!" when we left!
I am still indecisive about a name so he is "No Name" for now.
He has such a funny face that looks like it's always scowling, with his mask.
I keep thinking of newer and better names, but it has to be simple enough to use everyday.
