Just gushing about my handsome dog

The Jacaranda is a tree from South America and it used to bloom in fall.

It still gets confused.

I'm sorry that my comments still don't work.

I toggled everything I could, so they should work.

No one looks at my blog anymore, anyway, since I haven't been updating lately.

The past few months have been hard, since my cars aren't functioning. I borrow my dad's car (he is 88 and doesn't drive much).

This past month, I've been taking weekly dog training classes at trainer I kind of knew about, that specializes in protection dogs.

I thought I knew about "training" because I accomplished a lot with my last dog, Sam, but that was 10 years ago! I really have no clue what I'm doing!

This week my "homework" has been to video my training sessions at home.

(I don't know if I will share my videos- at this stage, it's quite embarassing.)

We are supposed to train several times a day but I have been slacking. Hence the homework...

Goofing off is fun, but I want to prove I'm serious about his training.

Blitz is starting to look like the dog in the movie "Dog" but with more intense coloring.

The dog in the movie "Dog," is a Belgian Malinois. It is known to be an extremely challenging dog:

Malinois are sometimes referred to as Malligators and "the Navy Seal" of dogs.

They are unfortunately becoming popular, and I didn't intend to be a part of the trend!

However it's very common for Malinois and Shepherds to be mixed to create a better dog.

I pulled out the only picture I have of Blitz's mystery dad:

It was Craigslist, so I didn't want to ask too much. I don't really see any Malinois. (Thankfully)

He also does not have Blitz's "zipper," or cowlick on the nose.
